If you are going to Tokyo you would need to have a super big paycheck or know how to save money. So I am going to tell you how to save money in Tokyo
1. Use the airport shuttle bus. It will be short and cheep to your hotel. Check the info counter to see which bus goes to your hotel
2. Use the public transport to go where you like. The transport goes everywhere. Use if you have light stuff. Concierge will give out more information on public transport and ticketing.
3. Try to get a hotel when the nights are discounted
4. When you need money to go to the A.T.M Citibank will work.
I hope you enjoy the ways to save money in Tokyo.

Great post, Dec! One thing, though. How does the money get into the ATM?
well the bank will put the money there. thanks for the comment.
Thanks for the information Declan. Nice to know that the airport shuttles are a cheaper mode of transportation into Tokyo. Yes, Japan can be expensive for tourists and one should always save up when vacationing there.
Good job on the article!
well thank you for the comment I really loved it to it was worth every penny for a gift.
I love these tips, Declan.
I’m eagerly awaiting part two: how to have a super-big paycheck.
well I will give you the part two. you need to be at a high level in your job. thanks
Shuttle bus to hotel from airport! That is a great idea! Taxis are WAY more expensive.
yea we thought so too.
Thanks for the tips. In the past I have walked miles of Tokyo streets just to find an ATM that would work with a foreign card.
John,
That happened to us too. We looked at Disneyland, we looked around Tokyo and it was only at Citibank that we could get cash. Now we both feel the pain.
Good advice!
thanks for reading the post
For those traveling their post offices have ATMs and they often take US cards. Great ideas.
